Is Long Play free?
Long Play offers a free tier so creators can use the platform without pressure or commitment.

Long Play does not rely on advertising or data tracking to operate.
Can I keep videos private or share them quietly?
Yes. You can choose from:
  • Private — only visible to you
  • Private share — accessible via direct link, not publicly browsable (for feedback, festival submissions, press previews, classroom use)
  • Public — visible on the platform

Public videos are not algorithmically promoted or ranked.
Do I keep ownership of my content?
Yes. Creators retain full ownership of all uploaded content.

Long Play does not claim rights over your work. Files are stored only to provide hosting, playback, and creator tools.

We preserve the original file at the exact quality you upload (including 4K), and creators can download their original uploaded files at any time.
Is Long Play monetised with ads or tracking?
No. Long Play does not run ads, does not track users for marketing, and does not sell viewer data.

Advertising is not part of our roadmap. Our intention is to keep Long Play free from ads for the long term.
Do you use algorithms or promote content?
No. There is no algorithmic ranking, trending system, or engagement optimisation.

Discovery is intentionally simple and non-manipulative.
What is Cinema Pass?
Cinema Pass is Long Play’s immersive viewing mode — designed to help videos feel more like a screening and less like a feed.

It dims distractions, enlarges the player, and creates a calm, theatre-style environment so viewers can focus entirely on the story, the craft, and the moment.
What happens if I cancel or downgrade?
If you cancel or downgrade, your plan changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Your videos remain yours. Content that exceeds plan limits may become unavailable until limits are restored, but creators are never locked out of their original files, which can always be downloaded. View plans for current limits.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
If you cancel within 48 hours of a new paid sign-up or renewal, you are eligible for a full refund. After 48 hours, cancellation will stop future renewals and your current plan will remain active until the end of the billing period.

You can manage your subscription from your dashboard using the Stripe billing link.

If you are within 48 hours of signing up or renewing a paid plan, contact the support team via Support and we will manually process the cancellation and confirm the refund.

This manual step exists because Long Play offers a flexible refund policy. It is not intended to restrict cancellations.

Please allow up to 2 business days for cancellation and refund requests to be processed.
Does Long Play help creators grow an audience?
Long Play is not designed to optimise reach, virality, or audience growth.

It is designed to support thoughtful presentation, intentional sharing, and long-term access to work — whether that audience is small, private, or carefully chosen.
How is moderation handled?
Long Play maintains a calm, safety-focused approach to moderation.

Content may be reviewed if it raises legal, safety, or policy concerns. The platform is not anti-moderation, and it is not a free-for-all.
Are support replies automated?
No. Support is handled by real people, not bots.

Replies may occasionally take time, but every message is reviewed carefully and personally.
Can I suggest features or give feedback?
Yes. Thoughtful feedback and ideas are always welcome.
