Setting up your creator profile
Your public profile is the face of your work on Long Play. It's where viewers land when they find you - at /u/your-username - and it shows your public videos, creator statement, and links to your site and RSS feed.
What to set up
Go to Settings → Profile & Public Page to:
- Write your creator statement (up to 1,200 characters)
- Add a link to your external website
- Enable "Reach Out" so viewers can contact you by email
- Set your featured video (pinned to the top of your profile)
If you run more than one channel
Everything on this page belongs to the channel you're working in. Each channel has its own display name, statement, links, featured video, page address and RSS feed. See Running more than one channel.
RSS and podcast feed
Every channel automatically gets an RSS 2.0 / podcast feed at /u/your-username/feed.xml (or /u/your-channel-address/feed.xml for a second channel), listing only that channel's public videos. Feed readers and podcast apps can subscribe to it - no setup required.
A note on follower counts
Long Play deliberately doesn't surface your follower count anywhere. This is intentional, not an oversight.
If you have questions about anything on your profile, get in touch - we're happy to help.
