Long Play is designed to minimise data collection and respect creator ownership.

We only store information necessary to operate the platform — such as account details, video files, and usage data required to provide hosting, playback, and creator tools.

Creators retain full ownership of their content at all times. Long Play does not claim rights over uploaded videos.

Uploaded content is stored solely to provide hosting, streaming, processing, and management features. We preserve the original file at the exact quality you upload (including 4K), and creators can download their original uploaded files at any time.

We do not sell user data, run third-party ad trackers, or profile viewers for marketing purposes.

Basic operational logs are retained as needed for security, abuse prevention, and platform reliability. Creators can contact Support to request information about specific data retention.

Long Play operates in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

If we make meaningful updates to this policy, we will publish changes clearly on this page.

Does Long Play use cookies?

Long Play uses only essential cookies required for core functionality such as login, security, and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or behavioural profiling technologies. Cookies are used solely to ensure the platform works reliably and securely.

Does Long Play use analytics?

Long Play does not use advertising or marketing analytics. Any internal usage data is limited, anonymised where possible, and used only to maintain platform reliability, performance, and safety. Analytics are never used to profile creators or viewers.

Will my content be used to train AI?

Never. Your videos belong to you. Long Play will never use your uploads to train AI models, feed them into any machine learning pipeline, or licence them to third parties for that purpose. Ever.

Where is my data stored?

Creator videos and original files are stored with Backblaze B2, a cloud object storage provider based in the United States. Platform application data and databases are hosted on DigitalOcean servers. Both providers are selected for reliability and security, and operate under their own terms of service including their own limitations of liability. Data is used only to operate Long Play and is never sold or shared for advertising or marketing purposes.

Payment processing

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Long Play does not store or have access to your payment card details. Stripe operates its own privacy policy which governs how your payment data is handled. You can review Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Can I delete my account and data?

Creators can request account deletion at any time. When an account is deleted, associated content and personal data are removed in accordance with operational, legal, and safety requirements. Some records may be retained where necessary for legal compliance, abuse prevention, or platform integrity.
