Payments

  • Secure checkout is handled by Stripe on Stripe’s hosted payment page, and you are returned to Long Play once payment is complete.

How limits are calculated

  • Only successfully ingested uploads count toward quota.
  • Duration is calculated from the original uploaded file only.
  • Transcodes and renditions never count toward quota.
  • Duration is rounded down to the nearest whole minute.
  • Re-uploads count as new uploads (delete to reclaim quota).

Downgrades & over‑quota

  • If you downgrade and exceed Free limits, new uploads are paused immediately.
  • Existing videos remain viewable while you fix usage.
  • You’ll receive a 7‑day warning to delete videos and return under quota.
  • After the grace window, oldest videos may be removed until you are within quota.

Domain‑restricted viewing

  • Creator plan only.
  • Restricts playback to explicitly listed domains.
  • No wildcards, no IP restrictions.
  • On downgrade, viewers see a neutral “This video is unavailable.” message.

Processing & reliability

  • Priority affects queue order only; in‑progress encodes are never interrupted.
  • Processing may be slower than other platforms by design.
  • Quality and reliability take priority over speed.

Looking ahead

  • Additional paid plans may be introduced as Long Play grows, shaped by creator demand and production needs.
