Keeping your account secure

Here's a plain-language look at how Long Play protects your account, and what we do behind the scenes.

Passwords

Your password needs to be at least 8 characters and include at least one letter. We store it as a hash - a one-way scramble - never as plain text. We don't store your actual password anywhere, and we can't see it either.

Encrypted connections

Everything between your browser and Long Play travels over HTTPS, so your login details and activity can't be read in transit.

We keep an eye on things

We monitor for unusual account activity and security issues. If we spot something that looks wrong, we'll act on it - including locking an account if needed to keep it safe - and we'll let you know.

Regular reviews

We review our security setup regularly as part of how we run the platform.

What's coming

Two-factor authentication is live today for admin and staff accounts, with a wider rollout to all creator accounts planned. We're also working on the ability to view and sign out of your active sessions - that one isn't available yet, but it's on the way.

If you ever have a security concern about your account, get in touch and we'll look into it.
