Selling a course or series as one purchase
You can sell every video in a collection, such as a training course or a series, as one purchase. The label you give the collection (Course or Series) is the word buyers see. It's a Creator plan and up feature.
Buyers pay you directly through your own Stripe account. Long Play doesn't take a fee and doesn't hold your money. Stripe takes its processing fee from each payment; see What Stripe charges. Check your tax obligations with an adviser.
Setting up
- Connect Stripe once from Sell with Stripe in the Creator tools menu. You only need to do this once for all your work.
- Go to Collections and open the collection.
- Under Sell the whole course (or Sell the whole series, for a collection labelled Series), enter the price and choose its currency from the list, then save.
Each video in the collection then shows a Buy to watch button that takes buyers to the course's checkout page.
What buyers get
- After paying, buyers open any video in the course and enter the email address they paid with.
- Then they can watch every video in the course.
- Videos you add to the collection later are included for everyone who already bought it.
- Videos you remove from the collection stop being included.
Refunds
- Refunds are made in your Stripe account. A full refund removes that buyer's access to the course.
- A partial refund keeps the buyer's access.
Things to know
- Only completed payments unlock access. A payment that's still pending doesn't.
- Disconnecting Stripe stops selling straight away. Buyers who already paid keep their access.
- Individual videos can still be sold on their own, using the purchase setup on each video.
